    The Trustees of Avonreach Academy Trust wish to appoint an ambitious, strong and confident leader to the position of Headteacher.  You will provide inspirational, leadership in alignment with Avonreach Academy Trust’s vision to build a collaborative family of schools that secure ambitious outcomes for all children and young people and help them become positive, confident, and active members of their communities.

    As Headteacher, you will uphold and strengthen the school’s ethos as a welcoming, aspirational, and purposeful community, where young people develop character, courage, confidence and the ambition to succeed.

    You will provide strategic and operational leadership, securing high quality education, strong safeguarding and a culture in which students and staff can thrive.  You will drive the ongoing development of the school through rigorous self-evaluation, leading a culture of sustained improvement that secures the highest possible outcomes for students.

    Our supportive and dedicated Leadership Team, comprises a Deputy Headteacher – Teaching & Learning, Deputy Headteacher – Pastoral, Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour and Wider Curriculum, Assistant Headteacher – Data & Systems and extended leadership team posts, Raising Standards Leader, SENCO, Designated Safeguarding Lead. 

    We currently have 1053 students on roll in Years 7-13 of which 218 are on the SEND Register, 42 of whom have EHCPs.  This includes 12 students who are part of our Mainstream Autism Base (MAB).  In addition, 20% of students are in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant.

    The school is part of the DfE School Rebuilding Programme and work started in summer 2025 to create a new £26.8 million building, providing significant enhancement to our facilities.  This will allow the school to take a full cohort of Year 7 students from September 2027.

    Pershore High School is a great place to work; our students are friendly and behave well, visitors to the school frequently comment on the calm and purposeful atmosphere that pervades our school.
