Academy Standards Committee
The Trust Board established Academy Standards Committee (ASCs) under the terms of its Articles of Association. Although the Trust Board is the key decision maker, ASCs are a formal part of the governance structure and play a crucial role in contributing to the success of their individual school, supporting the Trust Board to ensure good governance of the Trust as a whole. The Trust Board retains the overall decision authority but delegates a number of governance functions to ASCs to enable both the Trust Board and ASCs to fulfil their respective roles and meet their responsibilities. The Chair of the Trust Board holds the Chairs of ASCs to account, and the Chief Executive Officer holds the headteachers to account for ensuring good standards across the Trust.
