Vacancy: Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Term-time only + 5 TED

Contract Term: Permanent

Weekly Hours: 27.5 – 35 hours

(8.30am – 3pm or 8.30am – 4.30pm to include After School Club)

Salary Scale: Grade 2

Position Start Date: As soon as possible

Orchard Primary School is seeking to appointment a professional and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful school! The successful candidate will work alongside teachers, providing valuable support for teaching and learning activities. They will provide support in lessons but will also mentor students and teach small groups. Orchard Primary is a great place to work with children who love to learn.

We welcome applications from candidates who:

    • Hold a Level 2 qualification (or above) in working with children.
    • Have experience of working with children.
    • Are a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to work positively with colleagues and parents.
    • Are creative and enjoy making lessons fun to inspire, motivate, engage and enthuse our pupils to love learning and aspire to great things.
    • Demonstrate real enthusiasm and commitment towards raising standards within an inclusive school community.
    • Are resilient and hardworking and eager to learn, share and develop their practice.
